Sunhera

Sunhera means "golden" in Hindi, like the golden beauty of a woman.

Sunhera is a couture collection of Kundan Meena Jewelry, the handcrafted gemstone and enamel accessories made popular by the Indian Maharajas of the 18th century. With its fine assortment of jewelry, Sunhera pays tribute to the authenticity of personal craftsmanship, intricacy of design, and the legacy of the original Kundan Meena Jewelry.

Infused with vitality and vision, each piece of Sunhera Kundan Meena Jewelry is created to reach new heights of magnificence. The specialized attention within the elaborate process produces two distinctive sides to the jewel: one side with gemstone inlaid in gold and the other side with a detailed enamel design. As a result, each piece of Sunhera Kundan Meena jewelry is elevated to a wearable object of fine art, creating a unique masterpiece in and of itself.

Ruchi Kothari is the co-founder and chief designer of Sunhera Couture. Kothari, granddaughter of a Rajasthan royal, and her husband, Ben Kothari, CEO of Sunhera, left jobs as Silicon Valley executives to pursue Ruchi’s lifelong dream of producing this exquisite jewelry. The Sunhera line has become popular with the Hollywood set and has been spotted at the Academy and Golden Globe Awards and fashion magazines such as Glamour, InStyle, and Elle on celebrities such as Sharon Stone, Nicole Kidman, and Rebecca Romijn-Stamos. Robin Williams was the first customer of Sunhera in September of 2000.
