Lorna Moglia

Inspired by the natural landscape and historical architecture of Venice, Italy, Lorna Moglia’s designs are extravagant expressions of color and light.

Each piece of hand-flamed Venetian glass is born of Lorna’s mastery of the application of heat, oxygen and gravity in a process she has made her own. The depth and fire of her hand-sculpted art bring to mind the lavish gems of the Italian Renaissance.

Lorna was raised in a world filled with vibrancy, color, and artisans. Her grandmother created lovely works of art that today adorn Lorna’s home and studio in the San Francisco Bay Area. Lorna secured her Masters in Business Administration and was inspired to further study multimedia arts and arts administration while developing her passion for jewelry design.

When she turned her attention to glass art, she trained at the Scuola del Vetro Abate Zanetti in Murano, Italy, before embarking upon what would become a five-year journey in the world of glass handwork, guided by the renowned master of glass arts Loren Stump.

This generous palette of experience shaped Lorna's rich inner world and her spirit of amore di vita — love of life. It is a spirit that informs her visionary artwork, an abstract expressionist fusion of color and light.

Lorna prefers to work on a small scale, making each piece unique and infusing it with heart and passion. She devotes the same attention to the community in which she lives and works. She often donates her jewelry to raise money for organizations that support women and children in need. These have included the Larry King Cardiac Foundation, Children's Hospital, and Children's Fairyland, USA. When you choose Lorna Moglia jewelry, you help make the world more beautiful.

Lorna Moglia's clientele appreciate the exquisite beauty of her art. California State Senator Don Perata; C.J. Hirschfield, executive director of Children's Fairyland; and Larry King are among her patrons and
supporters.
